Streamer’s Journal #11

I enjoyed our first spooky stream of the Summer of Spooks. I feel that it was a success. I had people chatting and interacting with the stream. Thimbleweed Park is such a great mystery game with elements of puzzles and comedy. I can’t wait to return to this game to see where the story goes. I will have more weird, horror games upcoming for the Summer of Spooks.

Streamer’s Journal #5

So, earlier, I streamed Fortnite. I’m still far away from achieving my goal of getting the Raven skins. Players have to hit profile level 85 in order to get the costumes. I’m currently at level 66. I hope that I can earn those before the season ends.

I did have a fun stream. I’ve been striving to play more solo matches. I have a blast when I play solo. I earned plenty of top ten finishes today. I also found my favorite drop spot in the game today. I don’t know how I played so well today. I don’t play that much as other people do. I had 2 different matches with 10 eliminations. Very proud of the stream today.

Streamer’s Journal #3

This journal entry is going to be short because I currently don’t feel great. Last night’s stream was Stardew Valley. I advanced further in the game than I had previously before. I enjoy growing crops in the game as it’s my favorite thing to do. I want to get better at fishing, which will take some practice. The fishing mini-game can be difficult at times.

I played a total of 8 days in the game. I believe now that I’ve met all of the town’s characters. My favorite being the wizard that lives in the stony castle. He’s unique and spooky. I like that I finally started working on figuring out the mystery of the community center. I was pleased with this playthrough enough that I’d like to come back to the game in the future.

Streamer’s Journal #1

This journal is to help me summarize my thoughts over the streams that I complete on Twitch. Last night, I streamed L.A. Noire. I always find it pleasing to play and stream this game. The noir genre has always been one of my favorites, so I enjoy the opportunity to play this game that’s based on classic noir films.

L.A. Noire isn’t too much of a challenging game, unless you want to solve each mystery thoroughly. In that case, you need to look for all clues at a crime scene and get questions correct during interrogations. I’m familiar with this game as I’ve completed one previous playthrough. I breezed through the patrol desk as it’s just the game teaching players the controls in brief assignments. When players get to the traffic desk, the pace slows down and the cases get more detailed. That, to me, is when the games become entertaining.

I know that my next step is to get a LAN cable to quicken my internet’s speed. I think that it would help my video output as well. The best that I can run at is 540p at the moment. I would like to get higher than that, but I don’t have the equipment currently. I’m going to have to take small steps to get there.

The stream ran for over 3 hours. I was hoping for 4, but started getting hungry. You really have to push yourself to complete long streams. I’m going to shoot at least for 3 hours each stream, but I’d like to go longer. Streaming is challenging, yet rewarding.
